CIGUA Chocolate
Introduction
CIGUA is a mock premium, plant-based chocolate brand founded in the sensory experience of cacao. Rooted in Dominican craftsmanship, the brand bridges the gap between tradition and modern tastes, inviting consumers on a journey through taste, touch, and story.
Objective
Create a versatile packaging that adapts to different chocolate flavors, and reflects the history and culture of the brand while appealing to a modern mass consumer audience. Likewise, choose a visual direction and design a logo that fits with current sensibilities while retaining what makes the brand unique.
My Role
Designed the packaging inspired by traditional Dominican artisanal “guano” weaving patterns, that intertwines a geometric pattern with flamboyant colors, inviting discovery and celebrate the artistry of culture. Developed a logo that complimented and reflected the brand's vision and values with a modern feel.
